Right Thinking

Romans 12:2

And do not be conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your minds . . .

There are two kinds of thinking in this world today. There are God’s thoughts and there are wrong thoughts. I am here to tell you today that if it is not God’s thoughts and God’s ways, then it is wrong. There is no middle of the road. We are either right or wrong.

Some say that it really doesn’t matter what we think. They will tell you that thinking has nothing to do with the reality of things, that things will be the way they will be regardless of what we think about them. Well, for some things that may be true. Yes, gravity will work whether you think it will or not. The same is so with dynamite. You do not have to believe in it for it to work. But, if you don’t believe in it, you can get really messed up. So, it does matter what you think. The reason that it matters is that you will act according to your beliefs. Let me give you an example. If you believe that a chair will hold you up, you are likely to sit in it. But, if you don’t believe it, you will not.

The same is true in every other area of your life. You act on what you believe. If you believe that sickness, poverty, defeat and so forth is all that one can have, then you will not be surprised when that is what you experience. But, on the other hand, if you believe that all of these things are part of the curse and that you have been redeemed from that curse, then you will not be readily accepting those things.

Now the world’s system of beliefs is one way and the Bible’s is another. The problem is that the world’s way is wrong and you were probably educated for a lot of your life by the world. In fact, if you didn’t make a definite choice to let the Word educate you then you were for sure taught by the world. The only solution to this wrong thinking is to renew your mind by the Word of God.

MY WORD CONFESSION: I have been reborn in my spirit and am being renewed in my mind by the Word of God.
