Great Expectations

Ephesians 3:20

Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

It is so easy in this busy and worrisome world to get our eyes on our problems and the daily interferences that are always nagging at us. There are endless bills to pay, demanding schedules to keep, constant problems arising at home, at work, with family and friends. Then, all of a sudden there comes some real “biggy”; a layoff, a sickness or even a death in the family and we begin to wonder where and when will it all end.

This verse is so very exciting and rings like a giant bell in the midst of all the “stuff” that is going on in our individual lives. Just think about it for a moment. God is God, there is none other before Him and none other above Him. He is the absolute authority on all things. There is nothing that is too hard for Him and He knows all things about every person, including you. To make it so much better, He loves you with a love that is greater than any love you can imagine.

Now look at this verse for today and put it into context of what we have just stated. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above, or more than, we could ask or even think. You know what? He can go beyond your wildest imagination to meet your needs, to fill your life with good, to open doors of opportunity and blessing. That is the great thing about it all, He is in this to bless you, to love you, to provide for you, to heal you and in general, to be your benevolent Lord and Savior.

Today acknowledge your dependence on him and your faith in Him. Start believing and having great expectations from the one who never does anything half way.

MY WORD CONFESSION: My God is working in my life today exceedingly abundantly for my good and blessing
