It’s All About Relationship

Luke 11:13

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give to the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!

In this life, we all know what it means to be related to someone. We can understand this because we have all lived in relationships of some kind or other all of our lives. The relationship that develops between people with common interests results in a relationship of friends that creates a very strong bond. The relationship that grows between a young man and a young lady can grow into a unique relationship called husband and wife.

One of the strongest bonds on earth is the bond of blood relatives. It is these family relationships that give us our first impressions of the later relationship that we have with God, through the new birth. Of all family relationships, one of the strongest is the bond between parents and children.

I have seen parents do all kinds of things and make terrific sacrifices for the benefit of their children. In extreme cases, some have even given their own lives for the sake of the children.

The Bible says that we are the children of God, that He is our Father. If we have any understanding of the love and blessing of the relationship with our earthly fathers, who have limits to their abilities and who love with an imperfect love, just think about a perfect heavenly Father who has no limit to His ability and who loves with a perfect love.

We know that our earthly fathers will do everything in their power to provide the best for their children, they will give all they have to give to meet every need and desire. The Bible tells us that if earthly fathers do this for their children, how much more will the Heavenly Father give to His children. It is all about relationship. He is our Father and has taken that responsibility very seriously. He says when you have a need, just ask and He will supply everything that you have need of.

MY WORD CONFESSION: I am a child of God, as my Father, He gives me all the things that I need, His blessings surround me.
